Who we are
FishTrail provides fishing records, fish identification, shared fishing spots and angler profiles. For privacy questions, contact 381369593@qq.com. The service operator is 杭州诚明未来智能科技有限公司. The App Store seller is identified on the app’s App Store listing.
Accounts and profile information
We use Supabase for account authentication and cloud storage. We process your account ID, email and information you choose to provide through email, Apple or Google sign-in. You can edit your nickname and profile photo. A random account ID lets you share your public profile with other anglers.
Your photos and fish identification
Photos you choose to identify are sent through our server to Fishial for recognition. Recognition can be incorrect. Saved catch photos are uploaded to private Supabase storage when signed in, and restored on your other devices. Uploads may remain on your device until synchronization succeeds. We resize uploads and remove image metadata before upload. Do not submit photos you do not have permission to use.
Location and shared activity
Location is used only with iOS permission, for selecting a check-in location, finding spots and suggesting anglers near you. You can select a map location manually. Map search areas and approximate coordinates used for nearby suggestions are sent to Supabase. Shared locations may be approximate; the app labels the available precision. Location names, descriptions and photos you publish can reveal more information, so avoid sharing a private place. The map shows each angler’s most recent approved location share, not their real-time location.
Visibility and your controls
Catch backups and follow lists are private. If you make your profile discoverable, other signed-in anglers may see your nickname, profile photo, region, self-reported catch/species totals and approved activity. They can find you using your account ID. Shared activity may be accessible to other users under the available access plan. You can hide your public profile, delete your own activity and block other users. Blocks restrict access in both directions. Content already downloaded or captured by another person cannot be recalled.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We receive transaction and subscription status information needed to verify and restore access, not your complete payment card details. Your subscription is associated with your FishTrail account. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription; manage or cancel it in your Apple account.
Providers and security
Supabase processes authentication, records and files. Apple provides maps, platform permissions, sign-in and in-app purchases. Google processes its sign-in flow. Fishial processes recognition requests under its own practices. Service providers may process information outside your country. We use authenticated access controls and private storage for private content. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Retention and deletion
We retain account information and content while needed to provide the service. Delete individual shares from their details page, or request account deletion in Me → Privacy → Delete account. Account deletion requires confirmation and recent authentication, and continues on the server when the app is closed. A minimal deletion status receipt is retained for up to 30 days. Deleted content may remain in limited provider backups and security logs until their normal retention expires; such copies are not available through your public profile. Contact us if you need help or to exercise applicable privacy rights.
Permissions and updates
You can manage camera, photo and location permissions in iOS Settings. The app does not require background location to share a spot. We will update this policy when practices change and request additional consent where required.
Provider policies: Supabase, Apple, Google, Fishial.
